I am looking to get a sniper rifle next. Anyone have any recommendations? I want something very realistic with good power. I am having trouble finding out whether gas or spring is better for these. i am reading spring is better. Especially for the fact that it doesn't make much noise.

Rvae34: Well depends, how much do you have to spend and style. Some like how the L96 looks and will get a bad one over something that is better for cheaper. I myself use the Well-Mb03(stock) and no it is not a high class 500 fps shooting sniper, but with .25g bb's i can hit my target almost regardless where they are on the field because it is actually a very precise gun. The gun itself runs about 70-80 without shipping, never broken on me and is very sturdy. Other mid level snipers can run from $150-300 and shoot 500 fps with .20's or something to that extent Alot depends on where you are playing and how much you want to put down on it.

I don't mind spending a bit extra. I was thinking the $150-250 range. The L96 is too much for me as far as styling goes. I want a nice standard bolt action. I kind of like the UHC super 9 with the real shells. I know that would have no use on a field but I mess around with these things around the house too Was looking at this on eBay Link didn't work. It's a KJ M700 police style gas for like $250 Apotheosis:The link works you just gotta copy the whole line, even the stuff in black, and paste it into your address bar in order for it to work. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=170310951567

JG G36C Believe it is only a hop-up nub but need to find somebody to repair because i am not gun savy when it comes to opening it Hey rider you should check out my G36 breakdown/modification thread. You can find it located in the technical section of the forum. If it's just a hop up problem I would have no problem replacing it for you if you got the required parts to fix it. I've opened up and reassembled my gun numerous times and this is real simple fix. The video I posted should help you alot on how to figure out how to remove your hop up, but PM me if you are interested in me helping you replace it.

I am looking to get a sniper rifle next. Anyone have any recommendations? I want something very realistic with good power. I am having trouble finding out whether gas or spring is better for these. i am reading spring is better. Especially for the fact that it doesn't make much noise. rvae, I am almost positive that you should look into getting a spring rifle. Gas rifles are good but they are not consistent. Considering the area we play in and how random our weather is gas would not be the way to go. Gas will freeze if it's too cold out and you have to constantly make sure the canister is not wet. Another big problem with gas is it's very loud so it takes the stealth aspect away from being a sniper. I would have to say the largest problem with gas rifles are that they're FPS is never consistent. Example: You're on the field you spot a guy and you try to fire at him but you just put fresh CO2 in the gun, usually the 1st shot is very weak, actually the first 4shots are very weak actually. After that you might be firing at your guns normal FPS, but they will vary significantly. For example lets just say your gun should be shooting around 400-450. Well that's almost exactly what your gun will be doing do not misunderstand this, THIS IS A BAD THING. This happens because the amount of CO2 used always differs every time you fire. You want your rifle to be consistently firing around the FPS it was designed for. If you should be firing 450FPS the FPS should not vary anymore than 10-15 for a sniper rifle. With a spring rifle you do not have any of these problems. Sure you will have to account for the fact that when you get the gun it says it fires 450FPS out of the box but over time the spring will become a bit weaker and that will become the true FPS of your gun. This is never to much of a drop really, at the most you'll lose maybe 20-30FPS. That is the only problem that the spring rifles have. Don't get me wrong, gas guns are still good, but they are just not as consistent as spring rifles and you have to always take the weather into account. I hoped this helped in your decision between gas or spring.

If you had to choose b/t the uhc tactical 9 and the Well-Mb03, which would you choose?

I think I am going to upgrade my M4 before I get a sniper rifle. I cannot decide b/t classic army or ICS. Any thoughts? I read somewhere that CA doesnt make their M4 anymore. They do still make M15A4s though. If you go to www.airsoftgi.com and search for M15A4, it'll come up with a bunch of different weapons that are pretty much the same as the M4, and you can read through the reviews of each of them. ICS still makes their M4, but airsoftgi only has one version of it, but you can still check out its review.

The UHC is a flaming pile of ****. So is the Well M003. If you get anything, get a Jing Gong VSR-10 clone.
The CA M15 series is the same as the M16 family, just with Armalite trademarks instead of Colt.

Yah it is mostly metal, and I weighed mine in at about 14lbs minus the box mag. Not too heavy that im dying because of it, but cant really say its like a normal m4 either. Shoots a direct line of bb's wherever I aim. Can't say that I like the bipod, because its on a swivel and kind of shakes randomly back and forth sometimes. Other than that it is a very solid gun on all parts. I plan on using it wherever a game is planned on a mildly flat land. Im going to Blackstone on the 30th for the Op they have their and will give it a good run through on the field. If your their, I'll have no problem letting you demo shoot it.

That sounds pretty cool. I didnt know they were having an Op there on the 30th, I might have to look into the details. Do you know how much it costs to get into the game?
