Hey everyone, I wanted to make a thread where people could share ideas for different game types to play, such as Capture the Flag or Team Deathmatch style games for example. Feel free to post what the game is called, its rules, and give a description of the game itself (don't be afraid to throw out ideas about games you've thought up on your own!). Try to make your description as detailed as possible (because it might become a commonly played game!) including things like rules for getting back into the game if you are hit or weapon restrictions for that type of game. I want you guys to not only supply others with good ways to play, but also have fun creating new game types I also want to encourage you guys to comment on what other people post. You might have some good ideas on the rules or game type that the poster did not think of.

I guess I'll start things off with the game my team and I played last time.
Game: Capture the Flag
Description: Two teams start off on each end of the playing field, each with their own flag. The flag is positioned in plane view by both teams, so that the opposing team can find it easily. Once the game starts the teams move to capture the opposing flag.
Rules: 1. The flag must be placed in plain view. 2. If a player is hit, he must return to his own team's flag and touch it in order to get back into the game. 3. Camping the flag is not allowed (a.k.a. sitting near the flag waiting for unsuspecting enemies to approach) 4. If your flag is stolen, you still must return to where your teams flag was originally positioned before coming back into play, but you do not need to tag anything (since you no longer have a flag to touch) 5. Should a firefight be happening near your flag, and you are hit, you do not need to return to the flag (since you'll probably just get hit again). Instead, get near cover and count to 10. This is your new respawn method until fighting ceases near your flag. If the opposing players are hit, they must follow normal respawn rules.

V.I.P 1: Assasins are given time to go onto the field and arrange themselves into spots for an ambush. 2: The Agents are guiding a VIP to the extraction point which is on the side of the field opposite to the starting zone. 3: VIP has no weapon and has a 2 hit life. When killed he must go back to the respawn point. 3 respawns (for a longer game) 4: 2 agents must be guarding the VIP at all times, wherever he is on the field. 5: Agents out number assasins, but not to much to completly dominate. 6:When Agents are hit they return to respawn for 1 minute before returning to the field. Assasins have a 30 second respawn at a designated location.
Hopefully I typed everything correctly and didnt leave anything out. It is an exciting game when played correctly.

I agree VIP sounds sweet. As I mentioned my dad has 12 acres on the river. he has a 1/3 mile dirt road that goes through wetland and wooded areas to an open clearing at the river. 2 acres wide and 6 deep. This place would be perfect for some smaller scenarios.

This place would be perfect for some smaller scenarios. That does sound like it would be perfect for a VIP game. There could be an escort team trying to move the VIP to the clearing down by the river for extraction while the opposing team is spread throughout the woods trying to take out the VIP. I think this game type would be the most fun since there is a more tactical side to the game. The opposing team could move in small groups or as loners and try to ambush the escort team, while the escort team members could try to take bullets for the VIP in order to protect him.

We may even be able to use my dad's John Deere Gator as a transport vehicle for the VIP. I think we are onto something great here

^That game type seems like it could be pretty cool, but think it would be better if maybe to make it more intense (since both teams will eventually run into each other on the path), if everyone doesnt have their weapons up and ready.
Im not sure how to explain it, but I guess it would be like everyone just has their pistols in their holsters, and their primaries on slings hanging by their sides (if they have slings, if not, i guess you could just not hold it by the handle). THEN when both teams see each other you ready up and get to the fighting. Just a thought.

I'll post up some of our games in a little while, pretty much what im gonna post here are the rules my group plays by.
Basic:
Day
Wounds are arms and legs. If you accumulate 3 wounds, your out. Kills: Anything other than arms and legs (however we do not intentionally aim for heads, this also overrides your wounds) Hold-ups: usually done from about 15ft away or so, and you must have a clear shot in order to do this (in other words, no hold ups through brush)
Night
Selective fire: Unless other-wise noted, night fights are semi-auto only Hold-ups: not allowed at night. Wounds and kills: Unless otherwise said, same wound/kill rules are in effect
Medic Games If a Medic is in a game, they have the ability to revive "downed" players. This means if you accumulate 3 wounds, you aren't dead, but down, and if the medic gets to you, you can be tapped back into the game. However, if you are killed, your out of the game. Medics also cannot revive themselves. If a medic accumulates 3 wounds, they are out of the game.
We haven't really had a problem of people not calling their hits. Those who have played with us that don't call their hits, no longer play with us.

Territories - Is played with an even number of teams(2 to 4 works best).
- each team is given an equal amount of territory at the beginning of the match.
- control of the territory is represented by that teams flag.
- when a territory has been invaded and taken the invading team may switch the flag in the area.
- In the end the team that controls all the areas wins.

At night, flags are replaced by glowsticks for epic rave parties ;D lol, the forts we have have nails on them, in which the glowsticks are hung by to be seen at night

Game: Kevorkian medic
Description: Two teams start off on each end of the playing field, each with their own medic. The object is to eliminate the opposing team.
Rules: 1. The medic must be marked. 2. The medic has four hits* before he is out. 3. When the medic is hit he returns to the spawn point** 3. When players are hit, they sit down where they are. 4. If a friendly medic "heals"*** the player he is back in. 5. If the enemy medic "kills"*** the player he is out for the rest of the game and returns to the spawn area. 6. Once a teams medic has been eliminated all hits are considered kills for that team.
* A hit would be an instance of being shot, multiple BBs in one instance still count as a single hit.
** In CQB games the medic merely breaks contact aka line of sight and retreats a short distance
*** To heal or kill a player the medic must hold on to that player with out firing his weapon for a set period of time, normally to a count of three Mississippi.

I would really like to play some/a survival type game(s) soon. So here are some suggestions:
'Team Survival' -Mostly the same rules as team deathmatch. -One hit is a death. -On death go to a predetermined waiting area
'Squad Survival' -Same as Team Survival except there are numerous squads all against each other. -Squads consist of 2-4 players each depending on how many total people are playing.
~~~TO BE EDITED~~~
